Getting Started with Credly

Had your first badge published? Read on to find out what's next!

Congratulations 🎉 your organisation’s first badge has been published to Credly, and you are ready to start issuing digital badges!

What happens now?

When your first badge has been published, the Badge Nation team will create a new collection on Credly to house this badge, and any of your future badges that pass through the Quality Assurance process.

Your collection of badges will appear on the Badge Nation issuing license on Credly.

Creating your collection includes adding any individuals that have been designated as Collection Managers in your organisation's Membership Agreement. Collection Managers can access Credly with permissions to issue badges and generate analytics.

If you have been designated as a Collection Manager for your organisation, complete the steps below to get started with Credly.

1. Access Credly

You will have received an email from Credly containing an invitation to accept your new permissions. Please check your junk folder if it hasn’t landed in your inbox.

Make sure you accept this invitation to gain access to your new badge collection. If you don’t have an existing Credly account, you will be prompted to create one..

When you have accepted your invitation, you can log in to your account here.

2. Access the Admin Area

When you have logged in, to access the admin area, click the person icon on the top right-hand of your screen, and select ‘Organization’.

This will bring you to the ‘Badges’ tab of the admin area.

We recommend saving this URL to your favourites for easy access in the future.

3. Issue Badges and Manage Your Collection

From the Admin Area, you can navigate around your published badges, issue them to earners, and access other functions such as analytics.

Our complete list of how-to guides and FAQs for using Credly to issue digital badges and generate analytics can be found in the ‘Support to Use Credly’ section of our Knowledge Base.

If you ever have any questions or experience a problem using Credly, please don’t hesitate to submit a customer support request and we will be delighted to help.
