Copy a published badge from one issuing platform to another

Find out how to request badge copying between issuing platforms.

If your organisation is adopting a multi-platform approach to issuing digital badges, you may encounter a need to copy a badge from one issuing platform to another.

We are happy to provide copying between issuing platforms, please note we can only do this for you if:

Your organisation has been set up for issuing on more than one of the platforms we serve (Credly, Navigatr, or Open Badge Factory (OBF).
The badge you are requesting to copy does not require any changes.

If your badge requires amendments to feature on the destination platform (e.g. an update to title, description, earning criteria, or visual), please submit a new version of the badge for Quality Assurance via the Badge Zone.

To request copying a badge:

1. Visit our Customer Support form and enter your personal details.

2. Select the issuing platform that the badge is currently published to.

3. Select “Copy a published badge to another issuing platform”

4. Enter the badge’s full title. Please include an admin URL to the badge, if possible.

5. Select the destination issuing platform for your badge to be copied to.

Please ensure your organisation has access to this issuing platform before making your selection.

When your support request has been submitted, the Badge Nation team will review the information supplied and get to work on copying your badge.

If any further information is required from you, we will reach out to you via email.

When we are finished copying your badge we will close your support ticket, generating an auto-email to let you know the task is complete.
