Space for everyone is important to us.
Real Ideas are lucky to have physical spaces in stunning Grade I and II listed spaces, but these heritage restrictions do provide some challenges to accessibility.
Market Hall: Market Hall is fully accessible with wide open spaces, including the entrance and exit to the immersive dome, toilets and ramped entrances.
We had an opportunity during the renovation during heating install to smooth the floor of the historic part of the building (we took the flagstones from the interior and used them in the courtyard instead), which means the co-work space is easy to navigate.
We also have a range of desks and seating options within the co-work and a lift to access event space and mezzanine work spaces.
There is disabled parking to the rear of the building and on street parking with ramp access available close to the entrances, and accessible toilet facilities on both floors with a lift to aid accessibility to the first floor.
Ocean Studios:
Whilst we work to ensure the building is fully accessible to all, we are limited by the heritage building and land in which we work. The listed building and historic location have certain constraints which unfortunately we cannot avoid or adapt.
Where possible we have improved accessibility by ensuring lift access is available however please be aware that areas of Royal William Yard and our buildings has uneven ground and narrow steps with may limit access to wheelchairs and prams.
Ocean Studios does have accessible parking on site, lifts to access upper floors and accessible toilets on both floors.
